ABOUT

PHOENIX ART DIRECTION

I've been designing in the digital space since 1997, first getting my feet wet at The Art Institute of Phoenix studying 3D Animation. After returning to get a second degree in Multimedia/Web Design my path was set. As a "New Media" Designer, I discovered that the Internet was in need of an intentional aesthetic that would borrow from practices already set in place by traditional graphic designers for decades.

At the same time, a new discipline of intuitive informational structure was emerging to account for the growing demographic of the "World Wide Web" audience, one with little to no previous experience navigating a website. It was an exciting time to be certain and I'm pleased to report, it still is. The web got faster, my constraints were loosened each year and with the invention of smart phones and tablets, the horizon never got any closer. In this industry I never have to rest on past accomplishments, there is always a call to push forward, and I intend to continue in answering that call. I couldn't imagine doing anything else.
